lelder1 Posted October 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2014 I have read on some posts that O'Sheehan's offers daily specials (like Prime Rib night). What are some of the other specials they offer? Do any include beer specials/pitchers or other drinks?
The Beaner Posted October 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2014 There was a fried chicken night. Don't know about drink specials.
KarmaElectra Posted October 24, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2014 They had a fried chicken night, a ribs night, and several prime rib nights. We went once for prime rib night, and the place was packed (on the Breakaway). Don't know if there were any drink specials.
meatball_nyc Posted October 24, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2014 The prime ribs were huge!! Don't know about drink specials. Get the chicken pot pie! Cheers! ~Robin Every Day at Sea is a Great Day

lelder1 Posted October 24, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted October 24, 2014 Thanks! Now I'm hungry! Ha! My nephew will love fried chicken night - he can put a hurtin' on some chicken legs. And the pot pie is definitely on the list!
MagnoliaBlossom Posted October 25, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 25, 2014 There was also a Yankee Pot Roast and a BBQ Salmon, but we were repo'ing from AK so that may not be a regular. Everything we had was great. Well, maybe not the country cabbage soup. It was very flavorable but the cabbage was very crisp and the pork was very tough. But the flavor was wonderful. Sorry they did away with the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches! They have carafes, a liter and half liters. I have forgotten the price but it is the house wine. The white is Santa Carolina Chardoannay, don't know about the red.

That's great to hear. Two years ago on the Epic, I thought that was the pattern. Then, the one night that they served turkey and dressing, we went to the buffet and no turkey. I live with a vegan and a poultry avoider so I wanted to grab it while I could! Of course, there were plenty of other yummy dishes available. Lanzador Posted October 25, 2014 #11 Share Posted October 25, 2014 I liked the chicken pot and the ribs, but my prime rib was cooked medium well and the horseradish sauce tasted like whipped butter.
dexddd Posted October 25, 2014 #12 Share Posted October 25, 2014 I just checked our BA dailies from March and didn't see them listed on any of those. I did see they had table tents out at O'Sheehans on the day of the special and they were limited hours like 5-8 or along those lines.
MagnoliaBlossom Posted October 25, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 25, 2014 I know the specials were not all day, just like the MDR, only certain hours.
GORDONCHICK Posted October 25, 2014 #14 Share Posted October 25, 2014 Do they still have fish & chips? That was one of my favorite things in the Blue Lagoon and the Jewel has been upgraded and now has O'Sheehan's instead.
meatball_nyc Posted October 25, 2014 #15 Share Posted October 25, 2014 Yes. Fish n Chips were on their menu this past July. When I first started researching Breakaway a year ago, I remember people talking about a Shepherd's Pie the first night in O'Sheehan's. But we never saw that. Cheers!! ~Robin Every Day at Sea is a Great Day
MagnoliaBlossom Posted October 25, 2014 #16 Share Posted October 25, 2014 No more shepherds pie, yes to the fish and chips. Meatloaf was good, but not as good as mine, :), but the mashed potatoes were real! The chix pot pie was very good, a very good hamburger and corned beef sandwich. Nice chefs salad and the appetizer chix strips were enough for a light meal for me. We were on a Panama Canal cruise and the window seats were great for cruising Gatun Lake. Too good actually, since quite a few folks camped out there. In the evening you can hear the atrium entertainment, usually a soloist on piano or guitar. Made for a very nice spot. Service was also very quick during peak hours.

LAWTONCRUISE Posted October 26, 2014 #18 Share Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) From what I've read here it looks like I'll be spending a lot of time in O'sheehans. Can't wait to try the Chicken Pot Pie and always liked the wings in Blue Lagoon (usually the order was more than I could eat). Just a little over six weeks to go....
