Tearbear08 Posted October 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2014 Hi all & hoping you can help, My wife & I, along with our 10 year old boy and 5 year old daughter are embarking on an 8 day cruise on Carnival Legend, visiting Lifou, Mare & Noumea. While there are hundreds of reviews relating to trips prior to September 2014, I can only a few on the Legend in recent weeks when the ship began sailing from Sydney. We are first time cruisers and while I think we've covered the basics (pack the mosquito repellent, etc), hoping any seasoned cruisers can offer some more handy hints with regard to the Legend since it's refurbishment. Many thanks
Rare Scrapnana Posted October 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2014 Welcome to Cruise Critic! My hint to all first time cruisers is don't try to do it all. There are so many things to do on a cruise if you try to do too much, you will need a holiday when you get home! Relax and have a wonderful time! P.S. Don't be surprised if you come home addicted to cruising!:D

marshhawk Posted October 29, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 29, 2014 The one particular think I love about the Legend, is the enchanted forest. A great place for quiet time, the kids can sit int he big windows and watch the waves, you can grab a book and read, and most of the time, it is pretty quiet. Enjoy!
