My TA tried to use our prepaid AMExp reward card to pay for our cruise. She said that Princess will not accept reward cards. Has anyone had this experience?

Many processors won't take cards that do not have a name on them remotely for fraud prevention reasons.

 

If you can register the card it might work.

There is a lengthy thread on another forum that discussed this. It seems that the cruise industry, in general, does not accept pre-paid cards for payment.

 

The general rule . . . If your name isn't embossed on the card, it's just a worthless piece of plastic. (as far as the cruise industry and some restaurants are concerned)

Pre-paid cards suck..plain and simple. Don't buy them, and if you get them as a gift, take them to the bank and cash them out. What a rip-off these cards are!
