Rare Jamman54 Posted November 19, 2014 Author #251 Share Posted November 19, 2014 The Splendido Pool area. It is HOT outside, why is the roof closed???? I’m back out on my balcony now, and the ship has been cleared. A few of the early tours are lining up on the pier….. Once again, the gangways are directly below me….. There is a steel drum band playing on the pier….. With the bow of the Splendor facing the shore, it is a short walk into St. Johns….. Here is my view facing the aft of the ship. Not much to look at…. Rare Jamman54 Posted November 19, 2014 Author #252 Share Posted November 19, 2014 My friends and I had arranged to meet at the end of the Princess pier at 10am, so around quarter to 10, I made my way down to Deck 0 forward and exited the Splendor….. The forward gangway….. The Steel drum band continues to play on the pier….. Another look at the gangways….. Looking up at the bridge of the Carnival Splendor….. There is a boardwalk that runs from our pier over to the Princess pier, making it easy to get there, and allow for some amazing views of the harbor. This is looking back at our pier from the boardwalk….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted November 19, 2014 Author #253 Share Posted November 19, 2014 Here is a view of the Royal Princess docked at St. Johns….. The Carnival Splendor docked in St. Johns…… The Royal Princess and Carnival Splendor docked side by side….. I made it over to the Princess pier, and within a few minutes I was hugging my friends. Though two of them live a half hour from me in New Jersey, and we do get together from time to time, we hadn’t seen each other for a while. Our plan was to find the nearest bar / restaurant, and hang out for a couple of hours. We didn’t have to look far. The Harbour View Bar & Café was right on the boardwalk….. Head up the stairs to the second floor for even a better view….. To be continued…..

Rare Jamman54 Posted November 19, 2014 Author #260 Share Posted November 19, 2014 This way back to the ship…… Once back on board, I stopped back at my cabin briefly, before heading up to the Lido for lunch. My invitation to the VIFP party was in my mailbox…. This is the bow view camera from the television….. I decided that I would have my lunch up in the Rotisserie….. The Liner Pool and hot tubs look like they are starting to get busy….. Feeling a little tired, I decided to head back to the cabin for a little nap, until it was time for the Royal Princess to sail. I went up to Deck 10 for a good view. One of the Cat Tours was coming back in….. To be continued…..

Rare Jamman54 Posted November 20, 2014 Author #268 Share Posted November 20, 2014 The Pinnacle Steakhouse, Deck 11 aft….. The Entrée presentation….. My starter, the Portobello mushrooms. I had two of them..... Followed by a Caesar salad, prepared tableside….. For my entrée, I chose the spice rubbed rib eye, cooked medium….. And for dessert, I had the caramelized Washington apples….. I have to say, that initially I was uncomfortable coming to the steakhouse by myself, but the staff made me feel very comfortable, and minimized the wait time between courses. I think I was done with my dinner in less than an hour and a half. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted November 20, 2014 Author #269 Share Posted November 20, 2014 Tonight’s show in the Spectacular Lounge was Vroom, which I had seen before many times.
