Beach on Atlantic side

Cas En Bas is on the northern east coast and has some decent wave action. About 45 minutes from port, a taxi will cost at least $45US one way for up to three people (maybe more as road is not the best). There is a great local eatery there also for lunch. A few chairs, but no umbrellas or other facilities...

Lots of the east coast is pretty inaccessible due to cliffs and mountains. The next good beach really would be Sandy Beach in Vieux Fort, a 1-1.5 hour drive from the port down the east coast. Taxi will be minimum $75US one way for three people, and probably more as the driver will have to wait for your return.
