Quantum's First Bayonne Departure .. When ?

I know Quantum arrived in Bayonne just this morning .. curious how long she will be here before her first cruise leaves

 

On the port webcam, I overheard radio transmission between the ship and port authority people ... and they said something about divers working under the ship for at least another 24 hours.

 

Was this overnight period in NY planned? Or did something happen that's delaying her departure?

She's scheduled for a 3 day cruise to nowhere on Nov. 18th. This has ben on the calendar for some time.

According to a print out I received from the Loyality and cruise sales team she has a 3 night sampler cruise on Nov 18 . I don't know if she goes out before that.

The Quantum of the Seas will be doing 2 night pre inaugural cruises, starting on November 12th, 14th, and 16th. Her first published, for revenue sailing with be November 18th.

I believe the pre-inaugural cruises are non-rev, by invitation only. Usually they are for company employee's, travel agents, press, dignitaries, and perhaps some high-time loyalty passengers (Pinnacle at least?).....

 

Sweet deal, if you are fortunate enough to get an invitation...usually everything aboard is complimentary, or so I've heard......

Are there any plans to take her up the Hudson? I work right along the river in Jersey City and was hoping to get a look.

The Quantum is being used as a meeting place for heads of departments from all the fleet, i.e. captains, hotel directors, front desk managers, etc. for about a week until the first scheduled cruise. This period of time is a golden opportunity for all employees on the QN to fine tune everything that takes place on the ship and especially address any issues that came up on the TransAtlantic.
