Diamond Princess self laundry-tokens or quarters?

Someone has reported that the self laundromats on the Caribbean Princess now only use tokens and not quarters. Does anyone know if this is now also the case on the Diamond Princess?

I will be packing tomorrow and flying out the next day. Would love to save some luggage weight and not bring quarters.:)

You use your cruise card and it gives you tokens, I did this on our last cruise to Japan.

"It" gives you tokens - Could you explain? There's a token machine in laundry room that you insert your cruise card and obtain tokens? Or do you need to go to customer service desk to obtain tokens? Thanks!

There's never any need to bring quarters; the Purser's desk will happily give you change. As will the Casino cashier, I imagine, if you can bear the smoke smell in there.

Token machine in laundry rooms that you swipe to obtain a token for the washers and dryers.

Thank you for your responses. I will be 'dumping' my quarters and rely on 'token' machines or pursers desk.:)
