Need Help Understanding OBC

Recommended Posts

Thanks to wonderful CC people alerting me to price drops since the BOGOHO sale is over, I checked RCCL's website and saw that my cruise for January 5th on Enchantment is only $15 more than I originally paid during the first BOGOHO in May, but it includes $50 of OBC per person.

Regarding OBC, both my boyfriend and I have a shore excursion booked via the Cruise Planner, he has a drink package and I will be purchasing one soon. If we received the $50, could we apply it to our drink packages/excursions that we've already paid for?

If so, do we receive money back on my credit card?

(Sorry, this is our first RCCL cruise and I've never dealt with OBC with Carnival)

Also, if we can apply this $50 to our drink package/ excursion, how would I ask RCCL for the OBC currently being offered, etc.?

Hope this isn't too confusing...

OBC can only be used for things you purchase on board the ship.

Anything you purchase pre-cruise is immediately charged to your credit card.

If you cancel the drink packages and purchase on board, then you could use OBC.
