Guarantee B2B question

We booked guarantee OV cabins on 2 consecutive sailings. The woman on the phone said they will probably put us in the same room for both legs, but I don't want to count on that. What happens if they don't? Do we have to take all our stuff with us around the ship? Do they move it?

I know they take us off and back on the ship, do we bring our suitcases? To be honest, I'm kinda hoping to try 2 different cabins :)

If you change cabins, you pack all your stuff and leave it your cabin with the sticker Carnival provides, saying please move me to your new cabin number and Carnival moves it. It pays to go to guest services early in the week to ensure they have you on the B2B list. Also ensure you speak to your cabin steward on the morning of changeover to clarify you are remaining on board but your luggage needs moving.

Enjoy your B2B.

as previously stated that was how they did it for us, we just kept our money, jewelry and medications with us.

Also dont forget to go to the duty free store the last night of the first leg after 7 and get some alcohol for the second leg. The store clerks have no way of knowing your doing a b2b and they give you your booze to take to your room. Sure helped with the bar bill the second leg!! :p

We always choose the same cabin for our B2B. Friends who did a B2B with us and chose guarantee rate, had to move for the 2nd cruise.

Once you get your cabin assignment, call to make sure your 2 cruises are linked together as B2B.

We called last night and linked them as a B2B, but it sounded like the rep on the phone was new or something. She made it sound like we'd have to disembark entirely, with all our stuff and reboard. Luckily, thanks to CC, I knew better :)

You guys are the best! Thanks for the answers, I feel way better.

That misinformation, though. I would have spoken to her supervisor to ensure the standards of quality do not continue to decline so rapidly. It seems as if when the CSRs are unable to find the information in a knowledgebase, they spout off without any factual standing.

You will have to disembark entirely to go through customs (and then Carnival brings you right back on board), but you don't need to take your luggage with you.

Misinformation! You go through Customs if you intend on leaving the terminal. On a B2B, you're just clearing Immigration as the ship zero outs.

We had to fill our our customs declaration form, leave the ship, go down to where the custom officers were they took our declaration form then we were escorted back on the ship and given our new S&S cards to ding in. At no time did we leave the terminal

You are required to carry the declaration form. You are not required to fill it in. Being cleared through Immigration is different than being processed through Customs.

Thanks for the tip. I never thought about that. I hope I can remember that if I decide to do a b2b on the same ship.
