Tampa Hotel Recommendations - Feb 2015

Chase Suites Rocky Point would be a good choice. They have a nice cruise pkg. Airport shuttle, suite, breakfast and shuttle to the port and then back to the airport or hotel after the cruise.

The hotel overlooks the water and is about a 15 min shuttle ride to the port.

If you wanted to be downtown near the port, it may cost a little more and no airport shuttle but my pick would be the Residence Inn Downtown Tampa.

Also, if you wanted to get two adjoining rooms, the LaQuinta Tampa airport is rather budget friendly. The hotel is clean and in a good area across from shopping and restuarants. They have an airport shuttle an a shuttle to the port for $10 per passenger.

Good luck.

Looking for advice on pre-cruise Tampa hotel recommendations; its a family cruise so some space or two 'reasonable' rooms would be great.

Thanks in advance!

At this late of a date, forget about reasonable for two reasons. It is peak season in Tampa and it is also Spring Training. Hotels book up years in advance for this.

I would concentrate on finding a hotel with availability first then worry about price.

I booked a room for a February 28th sailing out of Tampa at the Holiday Inn on North Dale Mabry. It was reasonable and includes breakfast, shuttle to and from the airport as well as within a 3 mile radius of the hotel and for an additional $30 they'll provide a shuttle to and from the cruise port. It's not flashy but should get the job done.

Another vote for hotels in the Rocky Point area which offer a variety ofcruise packages including port shuttles, airport shuttles, and parking if you need it. We stayed at the Chase Suites a while back and enjoyed the hotel and the area.
