Miami Beach Hotel with Airport/Port Shuttle?

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if there are any hotels right on the beach in Miami that offer shuttles to/from the Airport and the Port of Miami? We're coming in a day before the cruise and would like to be on the beach if possible. If we can find a hotel that at least has a shuttle from the airport, that would be a huge plus since I'm not sure how much cab fare from the airport and to the port would be. Thanks! :)

A few of them offer shuttles but it is built into the cost of the hotel and they are very expensive hotels. Over $400 a night in season.

Why go for a shuttle when the Airport Flyer is the direct (almost) shuttle from the airport to South Beach for $2.85 a person?

Airport Flyer is a public bus ($2.65 each way) that runs from MIA to South Beach - here is a link: http://www.miamidade.gov/transit/routes_detail.asp?route=150

A google search will give you more info, brochures and reviews.

Cab fare from the SB area to the Port of Miami will run, on the meter, about $15-20 depending upon which hotel you choose. Good luck! :)

Shuttle services from the airport to a hotel are mostly offered by hotels closest to the airport. Not anywhere near their beach.

Sharing the date and budget would be helpful in steering you.

Our dates our February 27th till the 28th. We'd like to stay under $300 if possible. We'll be travelling with 2 young kids and luggage, so as much as the bus is the cheapest, it's probably not the most practical option for us.

Thanks for all the posts so far, though! :)

I'm looking at the Deauville Beach Resort or the Miami Beach Resort. Trip advisor reviews are so extreme in terms of good reviews and bad reviews for each, I don't know what to think! lol. We just want a safe, clean place on the beach, nothing fancy. We're really laid back people. We don't need much. :)

Maybe a local can offer opions on that hotel.

Cab fare from MIA to SB will run about $32+tip (for the cab) so not bad considering 4 passengers. If you go farther north in Miami Beach the cab fare will be higher, and it will cost you more to get to POM the next day.
