erinpdx Posted December 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2014 Can we make a 11:15 excursion if we arrive in Grand Cayman at 10:00? I am looking to book with Nativeways for their stingray trip. I know this is a tender port and have heard that people who have booked excursions through the cruise line will get their tender tickets first. Has anyone had experience booking on their own and getting off in time? I'd hate to get it all pre-arranged and then miss our boat.
Rare crewsweeper Posted December 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2014 How long are you in port? If Native Ways is only going to stingray city, you'll probably be okay unless your ship's last tender is leaving before 3PM. Even though ships often have ship excursion and other priority passengers board first, there are ways to get in line early. And if your ship is anchoring around 8 or 9AM ship excursions are long gone and you should be able to walk onto a tender around 10:30, if not earlier. See if Native Ways has an earlier excursion time. And they should be able to tell you the total time for the excursion, so you can then decide. erinpdx Posted December 29, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted December 29, 2014 I believe we are in port from 10:00-5:00. The Nativeways excursion is 3 hours 11:15-2:15. Thanks so much for your reply!
cb at sea Posted December 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2014 It shouldn't be a problem...the tenders hold A LOT of people, and not everyone is in a rush to get off....
