MsSoCalCruiser Posted January 1, 2015 Author #26 Share Posted January 1, 2015 Wish I was going with you, too. :) Heard that you can now order Fireball whiskey on the Crown. You shouldn't have a problem with waits in the dining room unless you eat later. People will still be boarding so if you're at the dining room by 7pm, you should be OK. Hey, could you find out if they will serve you pepperoni pizza in Alfredo's? It's not on the menu but I've been able to order it on the Sapphire and the Royal. :) Pam I wish you were going. We would have so much fun. I was excited when you said Alfredo's :)
Greyhound3 Posted January 1, 2015 #27 Share Posted January 1, 2015 My vote is for an In-N-Out truck. Even if we have to pay for it, I think you have a great idea! I hope princess is reading this and orders a truck. Everyone make sure you bring enough cash because I don't want you to take my double-double from me. :D. :p Three words... Animal style fries!!! :) Grey

Locals would love it, and we could introduce the beauties of In-N-Out to the tourists! :D I don't remember who came up with that idea first but I love it! Does anyone have any connections with Princess cruise lines? If so, please give them a call and ask them to order the truck :D You've got that right, the tourists would love it! SadieN Posted January 3, 2015 #32 Share Posted January 3, 2015 It's no longer 6 pm, it's 9 and boarding is at 5:30! CROWN PRINCESS PRE-BOARDING HEALTH ADVISORY Please be advised that during the current cruise there has been a slightly higher than expected number of cases of gastrointestinal illness among guests suspected to be caused by norovirus. Throughout the cruise we have been carrying out a comprehensive sanitation program and although case numbers remain relatively low, in an abundance of caution we have arranged for the ship to undergo an additional disinfection in Los Angeles on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Check-in for your cruise will be delayed until 5:30 PM. Please do not arrive earlier than 5:00 PM as the terminal will be closed for sanitation and there will be no seating or services available. To minimize terminal congestion we use a progressive check-in schedule as follows: 5:30 PM - Dolphin and Emerald Decks: Cabins begin with D or E 6:30 PM - Caribe and Riviera Decks: Cabins begin with C or R 7:30 PM - Aloha and Lido Decks: Cabins begin with A or L 8:00 PM - Baja and Plaza Decks: Cabins begin with B or P Crown Princess is expected to depart Los Angeles at 9:00 PM. Is this schedule a suggestion or truly set in stone? The In n Out sounds good to me.
bcnvcanada Posted January 3, 2015 #33 Share Posted January 3, 2015 Please to tell, what does Princess do with you until you board late. We are booked on three back to back later this month on the Crown and worried. We used Princess air and they have us flying in and arriving at LAX at 07:35. We thought we would take breakfast at the airport then about 11:00 start the journey to the port. We will have two carry on cases with us. We don't wish to rent a car as we are not use to the traffic in Los Angles. What does Princess do with you???
likeadisguise Posted January 3, 2015 #34 Share Posted January 3, 2015 You'll be able to drop off your luggage as soon as you arrive at the pier. Generally when there's a delay like this in San Pedro, Princess will run a free shuttle to Long Beach during the day so you're not stuck at the port. Coveguy4 Posted January 3, 2015 #36 Share Posted January 3, 2015 Leaving a few hours late is no big deal. Last Sept on the Golden we didn't depart till the next morning...... BUT.... We were able to board by 130 so dinners and shows were as scheduled.
JF - retired RRT Posted January 3, 2015 #37 Share Posted January 3, 2015 This is certainly a much friendlier and happier thread than the one that was started by a very unhappy customer:rolleyes:
jdellachiesa Posted January 3, 2015 #38 Share Posted January 3, 2015 We are on the Princess bus transfer from LAX now... We were told instead of going to the pier, we are being taken to the aquarium in Long Beach where Princess staff will meet us.
jdellachiesa Posted January 3, 2015 #39 Share Posted January 3, 2015 Ok, they dropped us off here and told us to be back by the last bus no later than 5:30. Sailing @ 10 now...
SoCal Cruiser78 Posted January 3, 2015 #40 Share Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) I'm wondering if B2B passengers are kicked off the ship while the "deep clean" is done? I imagine some were planning a quiet day onboard. Edited January 3, 2015 by Ryndam2002
