We took a tour with Bonaire Vista Tours to see the salt ponds, slave huts, and pink flamingos during our recent visit to Bonaire on the Holland America, Prinsendam. Click on the link below for information on viewing a highlights video showing the places we visited on this great little tour.

Thanks for posting the video. We are booked with them later this month for their tour.

I think you will enjoy you tour with Bonaire Vista Tours. The vehicle is new, the sound system works great, and Brian does a nice job with the tour.

Have fun!

Ron

Appreciate, Ron, this tropical island posting. We will be in Kralendijk, Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles, 8 am-6 pm, on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, after doing our 17-day Amazon River adventure.

Really interested in seeing those cute pink flamingos, plus other sights there. Glad you've done such a skillful job in putting together these videos, shared the background on each of the locations, etc. Not sure of our exact plan there, but this helps much.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Enjoyed a 14-day Celebrity Solstice, Jan. 20-Feb. 3, 2014, Sydney to Auckland adventure, getting a big sampling for the wonders of "down under” before and after this cruise. Go to:

Terry,

If you decide to tour the island, you can't go wrong with Bonaire Vista Tours as you have seen from other posts regarding the tours provided by Brian.

The town itself is quite small and can easly been seen in a short amount of time. There is an outdoor market with vendors selling crafts just outside the entrance to the port - suprised!

All the best,

Ron

Appreciate, Ron, your added follow-up and pushing. Have looked at their website and sent a note to this firm. Would also like to work in some type of visit to explore the mangroves and/or do a little snorkeling. We'll see what they come back with for ideas and suggestions.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Terry,

Snorkeling in the beautiful, clear waters around Bonaire should be a real treat. The best dive and snorkeling areas are marked with yellow stones along the road all around the island. Good luck with your planning.

Bon Voyage!

Ron
