andynapril Posted January 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2015 We're thinking of doing this tour next month and wonder if anyone has any recent experiences with it they would like to share? Thanks!
tonit964 Posted January 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2015 Although not recent, my DH and I have done this tour three times and it is a very enjoyable tour. He wants to do it every time we go to Mazatlan. I think it is a good value for the money. It is a long day but if it's still the same, you visit a furniture maker/store, a man that makes bricks for buildings. You go to the town of Copala and Concordia and see a man that makes masks out of leather and puts on an artistic dance explaining his art. You walk around the little town there. Then you have lunch at Daniel's restaurant that is very good and has very good banana cream pie for dessert. I think you visit a church as well. You really get the feel of the real Mexico. I'm sure you could find reviews on trip advisor. Enjoy your cruise.

CimW Posted January 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2015 We did this tour maybe 3 or 4 years ago. It was very enjoyable. It is a long day of driving but the stops are great. I really liked Copala and having lunch there. Not sure if that is where lunch is now. I will say I was a bit nervous as we were heading out of Mazatlan, wondering if it was a good idea to go beyond the guard post and guard with a machine gun. I wouldn't go out that far again in Mazatlan. You travel pretty far on a winding road and if I remember right, there wasn't much between Concordia and Copala.
