Reduced Deposit

I just booked an Alaska cruise using the reduced deposit of $25.00 p.p. Upon receiving the confirmation it says "Deposit of $500.00 is due by 13 JAN 2015,5:00 PM EST".

 

For those who have booked this week is your full deposit also due so soon?

Its an aqua class, 05/2016. I am going to call when I get home to get a concrete answer from them.

We got the same on ours and the same on every cruise we've booked onboard with reduced deposit. Don't worry about it, but give them a call if it will make you feel better.

Celebrity's always dysfunctional website is having a meltdown. After repeatedly trying to pay online the $25pp deposit on each of the 2 cruises I put on hold yesterday, I kept getting billings for the full amount of each cruise. After I called Celebrity and was on hold for some time while the agent conferred with supervisors, the agent finally agreed that the computer is unable to recognize this week's current anniversary special ($25pp deposit). So she did it manually for me.

 

Those of you who are trying to book under the special reduced deposit this week may also have to phone in.

Given Celebrity's history of computer glitches that sometimes have canceled someone's cruise this thread scares me. I would call and confirm.
