ginka Posted January 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2015 I was inquiring before about ATD vs. early dining before, but never got a clear answer re. this particular piece.... the part we have always enjoyed about set time dining is getting to know new people, and being set at a table with 6 other diners. There are only 2 of us traveling this time. If we switched to Any time dining, are you still generally sat at large tables, or would we more likely be sat at a table to 2? How many people are typicallyl sat at a table--do they have mostly large tables like in the MDR? and are the menu's the same?
hftmrock Posted January 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2015 you can request a table with others. the table sizes are the same as the early and late dining. the menu is exactly the same
riffatsea Posted January 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2015 You can certainly request to be seated with others but most of the folks who request Any Time Dining seem to want to be seated with their own group. There will always be some who will want to mingle with strangers but you might have to wait for some to arrive. We like to meet folks on the ship at activities and then arrange to meet at dinner after we get to know folks better.

weloverunning Posted January 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2015 We were asked 6 of 7 nights if we would like/mind sharing a table with others. We always said yes and were sat at a table for 4 (once) and a table for 6 or 8 the other nights. Its always nice to meet new people and the advantage is that if you don't feel comfortable with someone, you aren't obligated to sit with them the entire time like set dining times.
