Purchased Carnival Gift Cards for Black Friday - Buy $500 and get $100 on board spending - RIP OFF ALERT - Carnival does not honor their own program. My wife and I purchased each $500 on November 29th. Still to this day have not received our $200. Called 5 times, emailed several times, no response just the run around.

I have filed a complaint with the FCC and BBB.

If this has also happened to you, I am looking at filing a class action lawsuit for deceptive trade practices and well as bait an switch practices.

Again...DO NOT PURCHASE gift cards on Carnival.com, it is a rip off!

I bought $2,500 in gift cards during the Black Friday sale. I got 5 of the promo $100 gifts cards and have already used them.

I have also purchased $3,000 of the gift cards from Verizon. They work great and no problems.

Sorry this happened to you, but I have to disagree. Many people purchased these gift cards with no problems.

Do you and your wife have a Carnival credit card because that was part of the deal? If not you would only get $50.

During black friday I purchased $2,000 in carnival gift cards in order to receive $200 free. I also purchased a $500 gift card from kroger when they were doing 4x points.

I am going on a cruise at the end of Feb and have a total of $2,700 in gift cards to use. I only plan on spending about $300-400 on the cruise and it is already paid off. I am wondering what the best way to convert these gift cards to cash?

I know that you can do the sail and sign with the slot machine but I think there is a limit on the amount and it might raise flags doing that much. I have also read that you can load all of the gift cards to sail and sign and then they will mail you a check with the difference. Could I load all $2,700 and then spend $300 and get a check for $2,400? I am just trying to figure out the best way to do this!

Thank you!

I would load all $2,700 into your players bank in the casino. Then on the last night, go and cash out. As long as you played some, I don't think they will give you a hard time. They might be a little upset if you just load and don't ever actually play, but the punishment is usually locking your account after that transaction. If you do it on the last night, shouldn't be an issue.....I am assuming, never done that much without any action or at one time......
