Gem Aft Balcony

Your PCC clearly has not been on the ship.

10668 and the one next to it (10168?) are large balconies. These are the 2 B1s between the SF suites. I would say the balcony is at least 2x the depth of the side balcony cabins.

You'll find pics of the balcony of 10668 on this thread:

The PCCs are simply not given sufficient info by NCL; not their fault. A few years ago, I was booking a forward balcony on the Jewel, but did not want a "hull" balcony. Unfortunately, you can't tell with certainty from the deck plans how far from the bow those cabins end, and where the cabins with the regular balconies begin. (In fact, the deck plans don't even disclose the existence of the hull balconies.) Sadly, my PCC had no more information about this than was available to me on line. (But he was so great he actually emailed the ship and had someone go up to the cabin I was considering and make sure it had a regular balcony!)

We just returned from the Gem sailing in #10168. The balcony is approx. 7 x 10. This is just a guess. Yes, it is bigger than the side balconies.

I would NOT book this cabin again. The soot & garbage blowing down from the Great Outdoors really bothered me. Coffee stirrers, sugar & tea bag envelopes, coffee cups, etc. were an everyday happening.

The walk from the Spinnaker Lounge or Stardust Theatre in the front of the ship back to the cabin was quite far.

The view is pretty, and watching the wake is interesting, but I wouldn't book this aft-facing cabin again. Mid-ship is preferable for me.
