dramamine, bonine or ginger

We used ginger in pill-form the last two cruises and it worked great! I recently read that antihistamines are the main ingredient in motion sickness pills..something else to keep in mind!

 

 

I asked my doctor today about the ginger pill and was told that people on aspirin therapy should not take the pill but the candy was fine to suck on.

Or sea bands. Does anybody use these? Can you still have a cocktail? YEars ago I used 1/2 a dramamine and it knocked me out. Just wondering....

 

Strictly Sea Bands and Ginger. Have you tried the ginger gum? I have ginger pills and gum. Done the bonine, dramamine, patch behind ear. Don't waste your time or money on them. Do you want to have fun or sleep your cruise away? Been using Sea Bands for years.

Bonine makes both my husband and I drowsy. I use it sometimes instead of Ambien it is so effective. But it does work.

To those who are bothered by meclizene or Bonine making them sleepy, try taking it at bedtime.

I've never needed anything for seasickness.:D

 

But herself, who can get violently ill, swears by Ginger [a cup of Ginger Tea each evening included] and green apples.
