Question about Royal Family Suite

Recommended Posts

Sailing in two weeks on the Serenade with one of my sons. We will be in the RFS. Again, excited about the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. However, if it were my hubs and I, we would of course rather spend that money on a Grand Suite.

I've also had the RFS on both Brilliance and Jewel, sister ships to Serenade and this suite will feel much smaller then the one you sailed in on NOS. What you will really love and see a huge difference in is the view off that balcony!. :D Also a bit smaller then Voyager class balcony but no steel structure in your view at all!!

This cabin will be a corner aft. Can't wait to see the view!

I know this is an old post, but trying to find some of that same info, mostly around costs though, for an RFS on Allure of the Seas (Or any Oasis class). We're sailing in July, two balcony rooms for my wife and our three boys (17, 15, 10). curious if the price is comparable or how much more? Don't care about it being more 'trimmed' out and fancy, i see these suites as being more of a double stateroom with extra amenities? Thanks for any help!

Prices vary among sailings. They often are booked especially during summer monthe. The only way to find out if they are available is to call and get pricing.

We had the RFS on Oasis last Sept. deck 12 with a hot tub on the balcony. This is one that they split the Presidential suite into two RFS, each with a hot tub. Absolutely loved it. There were 5 of us. 3 adults and two kids. We paid a little over $7200 for it, with a KSF sale, booked about 10 months out. The RFS has a second bedroom with two beds or one queen. Closing the doors creates good privacy, plus the extra full bathroom.

RCL cabins aren’t fancy, nice and very comfortable.

I have been on the RFS on Indy and Anthem.

On Anthem, we were escorted onto the ship, fast tracked through security etc. I am not sure whether this is normal but we enjoyed the VIP status.

In both cases, the accommodation is nothing to get excited about but with 2 sleeping on the sofa bed, it comfortably accommodates 6 people. You also get a reasonably comfortable living space which is separate from the 2 bedrooms. The real benefit is with the suite perks. Things like reserved seating, priority boarding and invites to exclusive events like brunch at Chops makes a big difference.

Prices vary a lot so best to call and ask. Price for 3rd person plus, discounts for 3rd person plus as part of promo are 2 factors which make a big difference.

For me, the only reason for booking a RFS is the suite perks and the ability to accommodate 6 people in one space.

We had the PS on Indie, 4 bed 4 bath. It can sleep 14 but we had 8 in it. $850pp for 3ncruise so worked out at $284pppd. I work on a guide of $100pn for a normal room and $200pn for a suite so it was a definite premium above that and the added charge for being a short UK cruise.
