Paris or Amsterdam airport

Recommended Posts

We are changing planes in Amsterdam too. If we have 90 minutes to change planes, is that enough time? Will we have to go through customs or anything?

Thanks!

90 minutes is more then enough time for this efficient (and relatively compact) airport. Since you will be in transit there should be no customs or immigration hassles. But if your flight is going to the USA you might have to go through an additional security screening and/or Passport check.

We've made under 60 minutes in AMS on the way there. They will fast track people with short connections through immigration. AMS is our favorite connecting airport when going to Europe.

I'm checking for air fare, to Barcelona, for the transatlantic on the Allure in October. I've limited it down to two, one goes through Paris, and the other through Amsterdam. The cost and total travel times are close. Any opinions on which airport would be best for this trip?

I would choose Amsterdam. It's a well organized airport. We flew from AMS to BCN last year for our cruise. A small tip: pre-book your taxi transfer in advance. You won't pay to much because you pay in advance (taxi drivers over there will con you), the driver will be waiting for you holding a sign and you won't have to wait in a long line with your lugage after the cruise. We had a very good experience with World-airport-transfer.com
