Age Restrictions on Cabanas at Nellie's Beach

Recommended Posts

Hello there, first time poster here! I love this board, it is so helpful for planning.

My question is regarding the age restrictions on cabanas for Nellie's Beach (we do not have a suite). I only recently booked our cruise for this June 14 on the Independence, so there were no more cabans available online. I am hoping to be lucky enough that there would be a few left, so I will go right to the shore excursion desk as soon as we board, thanks to your helpful advice!

However, on the RCI Website, it said the age limit for the cabanas was 4 and up. We have a 2-year old and was hoping to get a cabana on the ground, as the ones over the water could pose a danger to the toddling princess. She is good about staying in her stroller, but I don't want to take any chances. She's a good girl, but she's fast!

Has anyone ever had issues or been told they could not use a cabana on the ground due to the child's age? We also have five other older kids age 15-21 that could watch her if she was not allowed in.

If we cannot get a cabana, I also saw pictures that show lounge chairs with blue canopies. Is it possible to rent one of those at Nellie's beach and if so, are they reservable ahead of time?

Thank you for your help. Happy sailing!

:)

There is no "age restriction"...the 2 year old is essentially free...she won't be using the "amenities" that are provided for the rest of you. There is no "danger"...you will be taking care of your child!
