Cheers Program

Personally, I do not think it is worth it. You have to order it for ALL adults in your stateroom, at $50/day. I don't think I could drink enough on a cruise with 4 ports of call to make up for the $700 it would cost me.

Its really rather simple. If there are 2 adults in your stateroom, then you both have to buy it. Its about $57.50 per day per person. So for 2 adults $115 per day.

Now the simple part, do you think you will drink for $115 a day per person??? Depending on what your drink tastes are, thats probably around 6 drinks a day per person.

If you are gonna drink 6 or more a day, its worth it.

I got it on my last cruise, and I thought it was fantastic. My wife also had to get it and she (though a light drinker) also easily got 6 drinks each day!! I'm gonna get it again, its a no brainer for us.

Good luck and have fun

Using the CHEERS! beverage program, guests can enjoy a wide variety of wine, beer and spirits (including cocktails and frozen drinks), along with sodas and non-alcoholic frozen cocktails throughout the voyage at one convenient flat rate plus tax and a 15% gratuity added at the time of purchase of the program. It is required that all guests 21 years of age and older in the cabin must purchase CHEERS!

The cost of CHEERS! is $49.95 per person/per day. Applicable taxes and gratuities are additional. Price adjustments (up or down) implemented on the day of sailing will replace any previously advertised price.

Please Note:

· Due to Texas State laws, we cannot sell CHEERS! until the second day of the cruise for voyages departing from our Texas home ports. In this case, the daily rate will be based on the full cruise duration price but only charged from day 2 forward.

· CHEERS! is not offered on 2 day cruises, charter cruises, on ships sailing from Australia (Carnival Spirit and Carnival Legend) and beverage purchases made at Half Moon Cay and Little Stirrup Cay in The Bahamas.

· This program can only be purchased on board; it is not available for purchase online or via telephone order. Guests can sign up for CHEERS! at the Atrium Bar, Casino Bar or the bar at the main pool area.

We average $100/day on drinks so we are going to get it this time and I suspect that DH will drink more and I'll drink the same so we will come out about right. I'll probably try to slide a few drinks to my mom too since she's in another room and not a big drinker.

Worth it to us, we NEVER not take it, we actually save money getting it, we do have the 15 drink limit but I don't think I got to 14 ever, a few times on a few cruises I got to 13. OP just go over in your head and figure out how much you think you drink then see if its worth it.

According it is chart, imported beer costs less than domestic beer. That hasn't been my experience on Carnival.

Imports are the 12 oz usually (and some domestics like Blue Moon) while the domestics are the 16 oz aluminums

actually it is true in most cases. most domestics come in 16 oz bottles, and range from 4.95 - 5.75 before gratuity. chart is based on the 5.75 (bud, bud light, michelob ultra)

imported 12 oz are all 4.95, with the few 16 oz bottles being 5.95. chart is based on the 12 oz bottles.

We haven't been on a cruise with the Cheer's program

classic cocktails would be long island iced tea, margarita, mojito, the cruiser, mai tai and sex on the beach.

martinis & more includes the likes of the carnival cosmo, pomtini, appletini, blue moon and tiramisu

frozen drinks would include kiss on the lips, hurricane wave, mocha chocolate getaway and strawberry, banana, peach, raspberry, mango, lemonade or hurricane daquiris, pina colada and miami vice.

liquors would include the various price points / quality of vodkas, bourbon, gin, scotch, rum, tequila, etc.

We could easily drink 7-8 drinks a day considering we can easily have 3-4 glass of wine with dinner each - not taking into account a beer here or cocktail there up on deck or during a show. However, we are divers and we take it easy the nights before we port so since you have to pay for all the days of the cruise it's not worth it for us.

with the cheers program you can get any drink that has alcohol in it frozen, beer, wine, mixed drink etc. that are 10.00 or less up to 15 a day. Any drinks that are frozen that don't have alcohol in them like non alcohol daiquiri , smoothies or soda are also included no limits on those though. hope that helps

that is no longer accurate. they did have those prices for a short period of time, but have adjusted the program to a flat 49.95 + gratuity pp pd for all applicable sailings.
