Recommended Posts

We shall be in the Cayman Islands for the day on April 14, 2015.

What time zone is the Cayman Islands in and will it be Standard Time or Daylight Saving Time on April 14th? We are booking a local tour on our own and want to avoid confusion.

The Cayman Islands observes Eastern Standard Time year round. We do not observe Daylight Savings Time.

In the United States most areas will observe Daylight Savings Time from March 8 to November 1, 2015. During that time the east coast will be one hours ahead of Cayman. (when it is 9am in Miami it is 8am in Cayman).

Tour operators are very familiar with EST/DST issues. Let them advise you accordingly.

The time in GC doesn't matter...you will go by SHIPS TIME....no matter what!

So, if your ship gets in at 8am, you can book for 10am with no problem....your guide will know when to expect you!!! THEY understand about the time, AND the tendering!
