No quad cabins for the Spa?!

The more I look into vista the less impressed I find myself feeling.

Was looking at booking, and it appears that there are no quad cabins for the Spa 9 cabins except insides? So a family of 4 can't berth there except inside? Lame.

Was looking into the Family harbor balconies but they are all located under the galley. I would likely not be willing to chance noise much of the night. Lame again. Would have to do a Family Harbor Deluxe OV further aft to make sure the MDR is above us.

So no special balconies for us...:(

Will probably get over it ;) but so much for family friendly... :D

Looks like they're trying to keep the families separate. We wanted to book a Cloud 9 ocean view for 4 to be closer to the kids club, but ended up in a Family Harbor deluxe ocean view instead. At least we'll have 2 bathrooms, and our LOs will have Family Harbor to wander around in with access to food.

We may have to go with those cabins too, the family harbor balconies are all under the galley, which is not a place I would choose.

Would pick one aft of the galley making sure the MDR was above us.

I wrote on JH's FB page about this who in turn asked me contact some department at CCL.

This is what they replied.

Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance.

In regards to your inquiry, I have double checked all of the OV Spa and Balcony cabins onboard the Carnival Vista and they are indeed a max of 2 people. While I wish I could give you an answer as to why, I can't as the ship isnt built yet. I am very sorry for your disappointment.

All the best,

Not a very good answer I doubt this person even bothered to ask further up the food chain, as the reply came back within minutes.

They are missing out on a revenue making opportunity here.

Spa cabins include free Spa access, and from my understanding Carnival actually pays the spa operator a fee for this access. Since rates for 3rd & 4th person are less than 1st & 2nd, maybe they didnt want to be giving away this spa access to the 3rd & 4th at discounted rates since that eats into their bottom line.

Only the first two passengers get spa access included with spa cabins. If there's a 3rd or 4th passenger, they don't get it.

There is exactly one inside 4 person spa cabin. I found in may areas they eliminated the 4 person option. Breeze had 4 of the 4 person inside with front deck view and Vista only has 1. I think the is one 4 person inside aft in family harbour. But with only 1 of some of these options, you need to book 2 years early and then can't get an early saver adjustment as the category will be sold out. Not sure what I would pick. We would have 2 teens, so would also be allowed on Havana. And yes with Spa only DH and I would get access, if there was another person in the room old enough to use it, they would need to buy a pass.

I agree - Carnival seems to have deliberately designed/designated a lot of the rooms as double occupancy. Nearly all of the "interesting" balconies (aft, wraps, extra long) are limit to just 2 people, not even 3 like on other ships! So to fit a family a 5, the nearest 3 room cabin is half way down the ship. I looked at the 5 person options; but, either it is an ocean view OR a suite. Nice upsell there Carnival....

I have a family of 5 and booked a Havana inside cabisn (double and triple). I believe there is just 1 triple and 1 quad in this category, though there are only 12 inside Havanas anyway. Havana Balcony / Cabanas and Suites are also quite limited for triples and quads as well.

I can see why they might be limited this in the spa area as people booking up there plan to use the spa (adult only) and may not want a lot of kids up there. Perhaps this is also why the Havana area is also so limited since it is 12+ anyway. However, you would think they would want to have more people on board to get more money.

I can sort of understand the lack of quads because you can always book 2 adjacent doubles (for more money than a quad of course). But the lack of triples makes it difficult for families of 3, 5, 7, and so forth.

I was really surprised that most of the Spa staterooms are only double occupancy!

I guess we were lucky yesterday since we found a Cloud 9 Spa Interior (11223) that can accommodate our family of 3. That was the only one left so we have to decide quickly and pay today or we'll lose the room. They only have 2 to begin with!

I just want to make sure I understand everything before I finalize our booking. So, is it correct to say that we can't get an early saver price drop as the category will be sold out?

I figured that I'd miss the spa so much that I switched our Family Harbor deluxe Oceanview for 4 to two cabins for 2-one inside spa and a reg inside both on deck 11. This way we're closer to Camp Carnival, the food on the Lido, the pool and Jacuzzis, and we'll have access to Cloud 9.

There is one four person stateroom on cloud 9 spa level it is 11232 and it is a spa stateroom
I ended up with it happily somehow. It was the only one available for my cruise (or on the ship) and it was just sitting there for my family of four with two young daughters. It must have been a cancel as it came up as avaialble out of nowhere.

If you could would it be possible for you to take some photos and post them because I'll be staying in the same cabin in October and I was wondering would it look like

:) I will if you are going in October of 2017 as mine is in April 2017. You might have to take pics for me! I just booked it yesterday. I so want to ask what you paid for it with four guests .... but that wouldn't be proper. ;)
