Loujul Posted February 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2015 I booked a cruise for February 2017 this past January in the Equinoix. There were no perks available at the time. Today, I noticed that my class (Veranda) is offering the 123 Go package. Is this only for new reservations or can I ask my travel agent to investigate. I don't want to ask her if it's not possible. Why are you afraid to ask your travel agent? That's what she gets paid for. Worst case she can cancel and rebook. I booked through Celebrity and made changes to my reservation twice already. phoenix_dream Posted February 19, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2015 It used to be that if you cancelled a reservation and rebooked for the same cruise, Celebrity would not consider it a new booking and you could not get the related perks. From what I have read recently on these boards, it seems like that may no longer be the case. However, your TA may charge you a fee to change. But to get the all-inclusive perks I would certainly look into it.
miched Posted February 19, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 19, 2015 Many times you can get the perks but you will have to pay the price difference between your original rate and the rate that the cabin is now. A few times it was worth paying the increase for the benefits recieved but also there were times when it wasn't. happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌞
Loujul Posted February 20, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted February 20, 2015 OMG - The cabin I booked is now $1,000 more per person. Still waiting to hear back from my TA, but maybe I should let a sleeping dog lie. I would hate to have to pay the additional amount. Will let you know the outcome when I hear. Thanks for everyone's advice!! We're just so happy to be sailing on this particular cruise! :o

We have booked the same cruise and I've been wondering about the 123go Offer aswell as nothing was mentioned at booking and we booked within the time frame of the offer that finishes on the 1st of March according to there web site. I'm off to talk to my ta Edited February 20, 2015 by Govantrueblue
az_tchr Posted February 20, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 20, 2015 (edited) You can cancell and rebook for free up until your final payment date. If you do you rebook at the new price and get the promotions. If you add up the cost of 123GO in what X says it is worth you get about your $1000 per person. Nothing is for free - usually - LOL. Again answers to your questions are what your TA gts paid for. Edited February 20, 2015 by az_tchr Addition
Loujul Posted February 20, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted February 20, 2015 You're absolutely right!!! I just heard from my TA and she said I would be eligible for the promo, but would have to pay the prevailing rate. I think I'll stick with my original booking and forego the perk. Can't wait to meet everyone who's going on this adventure. Judging from the conversations thus far, I think it's going to be a blast. Again, thanks everyone for your advice. Plainsailing Posted February 20, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 20, 2015 The 123Go! promotion is advertised in various places on the US and UK websites as: "When you book Concierge Class, AquaClass, or Suite Class to almost anywhere we sail March 2015 through April 2017" "When you book an Oceanview or Balcony stateroom on a Caribbean, Bahamas, Asia, Alaska, South America, South Pacific or Australia/New Zealand cruise ... Book a Concierge Stateroom or above and receive all 3 of these unmissable offers" In fact there are many cruises excluded from the promotion but you can't find this out until you try and book one, the list of exclusions is secret. Even if it does let you apply a promotion code (say for free gratuities) to an online booking, when you get to the final price panel gratuities are charged in anyway. 123Scam! goodycruising Posted February 21, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 21, 2015 You have to ring to get the gratuities cost taken off for the promo. That was mentioned on another thread, and I just booked and it stated that as well.
buchananglasgow Posted February 21, 2015 #14 Share Posted February 21, 2015 I went to our travel agents this morning to ask (DH being Govantrueblue , an he was at work) , she had to delve deep into the terms and conditions to find out, it seems our cruise is not included in the offer of 123go. Maybe they think we will all drink the bar dry on the way to our Mardi Gras in New Orleans. :D
huskerc Posted February 21, 2015 #15 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Your cruise might be excluded, or your rate might be. Certainly there were 1-2-3 offers available in January. You just have to add up the cost and figure out if the price difference is worth it--it's easy to put a number on all of this. For us, we would buy the drink package anyway. So that perk is worth the full cost. For many, they would never buy the drink package on their own, and won't have more than a few drinks a day, so its obviously worth quite a bit less to them. For a 7 night sailing, it's $49 x 7 = 343 pp plus gratuity, plus the gratuities which we would have paid anyway. Typically we will also spend enough on board to get the full value of the OBC as well, but in May for example we have OBC from onboard booking + OBC from the "10% rebate" program they were running (we booked shore excursions in advance, it's Alaska) + OBC from 1-2-3 + OBC from our TA. We're up over a thousand dollars. We won't spend that much, but some of it is refundable and the rest can be drawn in the casino for a 5% charge. We'll just have to resist the temptation to go to the spa and spend it "just because it's there."

If you are referring to the Mar 20 2017 cruise the promo is offered but it may only be for US and Canadian residents. I booked that cruise around the day that it rolledout and got all three perks. Another it is almost sold out and the prices have drastically increased to where the inside cabins are about what I paid for AQ1 so it would not be feasible to pay the increase to get the drink pack if you booked it at that time. But if you did book it early the promo was in effect so something is not right as you should have received it. happy cruisng 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌞
