transportation fromn FLL to Miami airport

Does anyone know of a good way to get to the Miami airport after you disembark in Fort Lauderdale? My friends need to get 7 people from the ship to the airport, so will need a fairly large vehicle.

I've always used SAS Transportation. Not inexpensive but reasonable and reliable.

SAS doesn't go to MIA. Not sure about QLS. The airports in South FL require chauffer service permits, which are very hard to come by.

 

How much time do you have? :confused:

 

As mentioned above, SAS does not service the MIA area, but Go Airport, American Shuttle and Super Shuttle do -- last time I checked the fare was about $35 per person. :(

 

A taxi on the meter will cost about $80+tip - not bad if split 3-4 ways. Car service from Larry's Limos, Holland Limo, Go Airport and others will be about the same or more - but offers a much nicer ride. ;)

 

If you are looking to save $$ and can handle your own bags you could cab for about $15 from PE to the closest Tri-Rail station and then ride the train to MIA for under $5 each.

 

If you have a late flight a one way car rental to MIA is an option. The foolproof option is to take the cruise transfer bus. Good luck! :)

Super Shuttle and American Shuttle are licensed for MIA, and FLL based Go Airport should also be able to make this trip - the drive takes about an hour and the last time I priced the trip out shared shuttle fare was about $35+ per person. With 7 you may get a better deal.

 

The cruise line transfer bus is a reasonable option for the PE to MIA airport trip.

 

If you have time, 2 one-way car rentals will work.
