Dubrovnik Shuttle?

There usually is a shuttle, but I cannot remember for sure the amount, I think $10, but that was a few years ago. Although a taxi could be cheaper overall if you get 4 people in a car, check that out first. I remember we took the shuttle to town but a taxi back.

The #1 and #9 local buses run by the pier to Pile Gate of old town. Fare 15 Croatian Kuna (HRK) on the bus, or 12 HRK from a kiosk. That is about US$2 or less.

We did this when we last stopped at Dubrovnik, bus stops very near to the ship

Do they not use the EUro now Croatia is part of the EU?

Croatia is in the EU, but has not met the criteria to join the Euro currency zone. There are a number of EU countries that do not use the Euro for a variety of reasons - the UK, Denmark and Sweden because they don't want to (Sweden promised years ago to join, but refuses to do the required paperwork), and Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic and Poland because they have not met the required debit and other parameters. Even though those countries are not officially on the Euro, many hotels etc quote prices in Euros, and Euros are widely accepted, but probably not by buses or government facilities. Montenegro is not in the EU, not in the Euro zone, but has no currency other than the Euro - no authority, they just do it.

We stood in line to take a taxi to the Wall. We knew it would be 10 Euro. A couple approached us and asked if we r willing to share... Of course !!! Only 5 Euro for the ride.

When we finished the visit, went to the taxi stand, and... surprise...met again the other couple. Again, we travelled together, "halving" the cost.

BTW, to visit the Wall you need KUNA!!! Thanks to CC, we came prepared.
