Marltom Posted March 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2015 We are on a mini cruise on the Explorer and were wondering do RC run a shuttle from the port to the city centre :)
welshrich Posted March 6, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2015 Hi, we stopped off on an RCI ship at Le Havre, you won't need a shuttle as it's really walkable into the centre, be aware though that there isn't a lot to see, we walked around for an hour and then headed back to the ship, might be worth booking a tour instead. billsgal Posted March 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 6, 2015 Last time we were in LeHarve, there was a shuttle available, but not provided by RC. I think it was 5 euros, but cant remember exactly. It was an hours ride, took you to and through the city centre, and the guide explained lots of things about the buildings and history of the city. I felt it was money well spent. We were there on a Sunday and most of the stores were closed, but it was still a nice tour, especially for the money. Other than that, there is not much to do in LeHarve, and we had been to Paris a number of times, so the tour was something different for us. nelblu Posted March 6, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 6, 2015 About a two hour drive Wow, I thought Civitavecchia port to Rome was bad--1-1.5 hrs.
CHOPPERTESTER Posted March 7, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 7, 2015 It would be a bit of a walk to the city centre in LeHavre. We were on a Norway Fjord cruise out of Dover and LeHavre was the last stop before returning to Dover. We let the cruise ship service desk know we would be disembarking in LeHavre. We took a taxi to the train station (about 10 euros incl tip) and the 80 minute trip to Paris was 25 Euros each. Great cruise, spent 3 nights in London pre cruise and 3 nights in Paris post cruise.
