bury me at sea Posted March 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2015 The cold bisque soups. I want one every night. I have found only two listed on the menues I have seen, cherry and mango.
kteachcruiser52 Posted March 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2015 I did not see Bitter & Blanc on our Liberty cruise last fall. The new menu I just saw offers it once on a 7 day cruise. I think they have been tweaking the original American Table/American Feast menu a bit. When it first came out there was only one desert offered on Cruise Elegant night. now there are several. SMSACE6 Posted March 8, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 8, 2015 I cant think of anything offhand. Chateaubriand maybe...but for me, I think there is more than enough new offerings to offset anything that I might miss.

kjunea Posted March 8, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 8, 2015 Since they have added Bitter and Blanc back, I'm looking forward to the new menu. I will miss chateaubriand, but there are lots of new things that interest me too!
happy cruzin Posted March 8, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 8, 2015 I've only seen the elegant night menu. Are the rest posted someplace I could see them??
islandatsea Posted March 8, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 8, 2015 The new menu has enough items for me to gain a few more pounds, LOL ! So yes...we are not missing anything on it.
ccruisequeen Posted March 8, 2015 #12 Share Posted March 8, 2015 Wondering when they will adapt the west coast menus.? I would like to see what they are adding to our menus, like the cherry Bing soup and bitter and blanc dessert.
Velvetwater Posted March 8, 2015 #13 Share Posted March 8, 2015 (edited) I will miss: The pumpkin pie and the pecan pie (already rare anyway) The apple nuts phyllo thing Pot stickers/dumplings starter Southern Fried chicken on the everyday Beef Brisket and gravy (always reminds me of my first ever MDR meal and tasty too) Spanakopita main course Pasta options each night (I do like the Italian way of starting a table meal with a small amount of pasta) The general absence of seafood mains and larger variety of desserts. I am hopeful I will find some other favourites...looking forward to the popcorn parfait, flatbreads, Kalamari etc. However I am a bit bummed Carnival has gone more 'American/Caribbean' with its menu as other family lines seem to have more worldly offerings...ah well. planetcadillac Posted March 8, 2015 #14 Share Posted March 8, 2015 The new menu seems to be very 'Midwestern' like the old meat-and-three. I do wonder where all the pasta went and many of the old favorites. I am not interested in eating steaks, ribs, and pork chops with potatoes and green beans every night. LCTXcruiser Posted March 9, 2015 #22 Share Posted March 9, 2015 Is it me or does the menu looks better than before? I think so. I really enjoyed the other menu but it seems like the quality is a little higher on the new. We'll find out in about 5 days :)

SadieN Posted March 9, 2015 #24 Share Posted March 9, 2015 Wondering when they will adapt the west coast menus.? I would like to see what they are adding to our menus, like the cherry Bing soup and bitter and blanc dessert. We've had the 2, 3 & 4 day menus on the Imagination and Inspiration. Like the Tuna appetizer almost as much as the duck. I will miss: ................................ Pot stickers/dumplings starter ................................ The general absence of seafood mains and larger variety of desserts. .......................ah well. We have had Duck potstickers on every cruise with the American Table. We've done the short cruises. Each meal we've had a fish option, not necessarily seafood. ** I'll miss the Yam, Cheddar pot pie.
Ocean Spirit Posted March 9, 2015 #25 Share Posted March 9, 2015 Just got off of the Freedom and we were very pleased with the new American Table menu. Most of my favorites were still available.... I loved the new pork ribs and there is new dessert that sounds strange but was wonderful.... something with Pop corn! It's a smooth flan like with a syrup on top and 2 pieces of pop corn on it.
