Book next cruise now, or wait for "diamond"?

Recommended Posts

One month from tomorrow, we embark on a T/A cruise, upon which we will become diamond members. However, yesterday we put a hold on another T/A cruise for the fall of 2016. We are wanting to splurge on an owners suite, as it is less than the price of what we have paid for a GS in the past.

Do we wait to book until we are onboard our next cruise, and risk the chance of the suites being all gone? What additional benefit might we get onboard as we turn diamond? Or, should we just simmer down a bit and do the standard balcony room and save the Owners Suite for atime when we aren't pressured to make a quick decision?

You would get a higher balcony discount as Diamond...but from what I have read in many cases they either will not apply it to an exsisting reservation...or they apply it & reprice the cruise to the current rate. I would do as other's have suggested...book now & then check the pricing later when you are onboard...you still probably won't get the higher discount, but you will get the OBC for booking onboard...
