fstuff1 Posted March 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) for those who don't read the Casino forum: - increasing the theoretical loss amounts for comps at all levels. old threshold was $2,000 for an OV, but it is going up to $2,800 now - 20% cabin discount now reduced to 10% (for those that don't qualify for a free cabin) - At Lucky tier lvl (green), drink cards are only available to OV cabins and above hm.. never knew theoretical loss requirement was that high to begin with. Craps theo loss is .4%. 2000/.004 = $500k gambled through the craps table  vp is like 3% house edge at the $5 level. (8/5 JoB) 2000/.03 = $66.7k needed through the machine Edited March 31, 2015 by fstuff1

This is our first CAS cruise and I was looking forward to drink card but we were comped an inside cabin. We booked in February but cruise in April. I would hope they would not remove a benefit that you were told you were receiving when you booked. Who did you book with? If it was a specific PCC I would give them a call and ask them directly. This is something I would hope would be grandfathered in to your booking date. Under the new program everyone zeros out on April 1st so you have to start all over again. negn Posted April 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 1, 2015 Glad I booked my Oct cruise already. Just sailed on the Epic and hated that casino Only gambled minimally 3 days and accrued about 500 points. Would never qualify for anything now!

We cruise in 10 days so I guess I'll find out then whether or not we get drink cards. Edited April 1, 2015 by NMLady
clcjdn Posted April 1, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 1, 2015 vp is like 3% house edge at the $5 level. (8/5 JoB) 2000/.03 = $66.7k needed through the machine Do you think they take the optimal house edge here or some sort of modified % based on the fact that less than 5% of the population can play at 100% accuracy against optimal play? I always kind of assumed they took a blended number..... Also, on the Triple Play and Five Play $0.25 machines, the house edge is actually about 5%......I ran both through my VP app (for Double Double Bonus and Triple Double Bonus).... I am fairly certain that those say that the drink card is included so you should be alright. I have one in front of me for a tournament and it says "Special Tournament gift & House Drink card". I would imagine yours would have similar type wording, as they usually do. Hope you have a great cruise and the casino treats you well. I only accrued ~1000pts each of my 3 sailings last year. i called CAS and was told I'm on the line between a 10% discount and NO discount. I booked directly with CAS, from a mailed offer. clcjdn Posted April 1, 2015 #11 Share Posted April 1, 2015 Mainly just a preference to play the "other" games instead of the run of the mill single line.....We had fun on triple, five play, super times, spin, and ultimate X.....I did play some DDBL single line at $1, but like the thrill of the chase with multiple hands...... I'll make sure I take the invitation with me. I have done one tournament. It was fun but it sure does make for a crowded casino with so many gamblers on board and their guests. Don't hold your breathe for the gift :) It is the thought that counts. :) The way they ended it to me was just very odd and a bit of a let down but I did have fun. I wish you the best of luck!! spidybabe Posted April 2, 2015 #14 Share Posted April 2, 2015 I also read on another thread that the perks are now only for 3 nights or longer. No more CTN 1 or 2 nights for us......
MaryLS Posted April 3, 2015 #15 Share Posted April 3, 2015 I am the "Lucky" tier (green card) but am only comped an inside cabin. I pay to upgrade to a mini-suite. Am I no longer eligible for the drink card?

I hope to find some slots I like, especially if they are lucky ones. :). Roulette too is a favorite of mine. He's hoping to be able to play Texas Hold Em. Also maybe some Let It Ride and Blackjack. I'd almost forgotten there was any gift. I'm just thrilled to have the cabin paid for by someone else, saving us a chunk of money. And some free drinks while gambling is also welcome. And a tournament too is great. I'll have a wonderful time. After all, I'm on a cruise. :) Edited April 3, 2015 by NMLady
