Specialty Dining Aboard Radiance Of The seas

My husband would like to dine at several of the specialty restaurants aboard the ship.

Are there particular nights that we should do this?

I would think that the formal nights in the main dining room should be upscale and not to be missed, but other posts suggest that those are the nights to go all out?

We are looking at Chops Giovannis and Izumi.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

You will need to check the menus daily, and decide if you want to miss that night, or not! I've never noticed more "upscale" anything on formal nights.....the 2nd formal night is when the fisherman's platter is...that includes the warm water lobstertail....it's ok...but certainly not that special!

There is no real need to book the restaurants in advance, unless there is a very specific time you need. They are seldom full!

Since your question is specific to Royal Caribbean, you might get better answers in the RC specific forum.

As for us, we usually do specialty dining on formal nights to avoid having to bring formal clothes. On occasions that we have been able to find out in advance what menu is on what night, we also can avoid nights in the dining room where we don't like the options.

Keep in mind RC offers a discount if you pre-book three specialty restaurant meals.
