planning or cruise for next year and very excited. I was looking up threads on some ratings for hotel. I started pulling up the hotels info to make a choice on where to stay. I could not find one hotel that had available rooms for April 8th, 2016. I then felt stumped, was it spring break time, maybe a large convention?? I spent the better part of my day going down the lists of hotels and found NONE had an opening.

 

I finally called sunny.org and Guess what, the hotels don't load their rates and rooms until under a year. boy do I feel silly. Happy Cruising :rolleyes:

It is also too early to book your airline tickets - they usually book ahead only 330 days. and Southwest and some of the others offer an even shorter window.

Don't feel silly. Lots of travelers read "no rooms available" as meaning rooms are sold out. When in fact many hotels, especially smaller ones, won't book rooms extra early.

Do your research of the area in the meantime, make a list of ones you like and you'll be ready for your hunt when they open up.

Had that happen today planning a trip, non-cruise-related. Wondered why there were no rooms available in several hotel on a week day. The Year got changed when I reset dates. LOL.
