Shuttle to FLL cruiseport

Any hotels in Ft Lauderdale have shuttles to the cruiseport? Lived in Miami for 15 years but know nothing about FLL hotels.

Most of the hotels that cruisers would stay, that being hotels in and around the port area and all of the way down into the Hollywood area, will have a shuttle available; these are almost always run by an outside company. Last shuttle I used to the port was from HIExpress right on 17th St. very close to the port. Cost was $8pp. They usually have a schedule that you sign up for upon checking in to the hotel.

 

If and when you decide where to stay, call their local number and ask the front desk as this information is not always available on the website. If no shuttle and you're not terribly far from the port, just jump in a cab. Taking a cab means you're leaving when YOU want and will not have to wait in more traffic tie-ups than necessary inside the port as the shuttle vans are usually dropping off at at least two or more terminals on each trip.

Many of the hotels have a shuttle but you will be charged a per person rate. You can just take a taxi for about the same price.

If only one traveler, the shuttle services will save the cab fare. However once you have two or more you will be better off just cabbing it. Most cruisers don't want to hang around waiting for a scheduled ride with others who might be stopping at another ship before theirs. Just jump in a cab when you are ready.

 

Some hotels offer a cruise parking package that allow, included in the room rate, a ride to the port. But not back post cruise. I certainly wouldn't book a hotel contingent on shuttles. Limits your choices.

Springhill suites in Dania Beach has a free shuttle - from airport and to the port. Port service very good.
