Old vs. New Ships

I've been on 15 cruises on ships big and small. For me, bigger is always way better. More things to do.

We have cruised every class of ship that Royal has except the Quantum. We have dropped back to the smaller ships and have not missed the bigger ships at all. Smaller ships just seem to have a more personalized feeling to us.

 

I will say the megaships are a technology wonders. One should experience them at least once to see if they fit their preference.

For me I like small ships

 

Better choice of Ports, better chance of meeting majority of PAX Port not so over run, so better chance of meeting locals.

 

I also like older ships, wood and brass and leather instead of chrome and mirrors.

 

Guess that's why my three fav ships are

 

Pacific Princess

Ocean Princess and

Celebrity Century.

 

I suspect Azamara would be up there if the saild Aus more.
