spaghetti Carbonara- was ok, my husband thought it just needed some more flavor such as garlic of mushrooms, couldn't have been too bad as he had it again on the next cruise ( I blame him for the bad pic, I think it came out when the lights were dimmed for show time)

Broiled main lobster tail- also just ok not good enough to order multiple servings like some do. Is not comparable to what is served from the steakhouse menu

And the slow cooked prime rib, yummy but I would have liked more sauce.

And for dessert, husband ended up taking the kids back to the cabin as he was still not feeling 100%, that left me with my brother for Creme Brulee. And sadly I was not impressed but hey it's dessert and I still ate it all!!!!

Dinner was the American Feast menu, out of the 2 formal nights I think the first one had more items on the menu that I enjoyed.

I've tried to get the best shots of the menu that I could, sorry if they are a bit wonky! I had to break the menu into 3 to make it easier to see.

Was this formal night menu the 2nd or the 1st?

So after a good nights sleep we are up and full of energy for our second and final day at Disneyland, no jet lag which is great. We had an awesome day at the park, the only disappointing thing is 2 of the bigger rides, Indiana Jones and the Matterhorn were both closed.

d4134600912d437b820561aaf10f9b78.jpg

We left Disneyland at 6:00pm and walked back to our hotel for our shuttle pick up. We had a problem free transfer and check in and ate what I thought was the worlds most expensive Burger King at terminal 3 of LAX.

And now the fun began... Flying the redeye is never fun, but we had hundreds of high school kids waiting at the gate next to us for flights, and I thought my kids were noisy.

So we are waiting for our flight and we hear that the flight had been delay by 30 minutes.... That's fine, but that comes and goes and there are people milling around waiting to board. It's 11:30pm and still no updates and people were starting to act like idiots.

Normally we would get priority boarding travelling with the baby but it was just not work the effort, in the end we ended up leaving about 60+ minutes late. Now Chloe seems to have a special talent for taking a number 2 as we are taking off and they took a long time to turn off the seatbelt sign, all I can say to my fellow passengers was sorry....unless they were one of the idiots when we were boarding, sweet revenge!!!

The flight was uneventful and I slept waking up just before we landed at FLL, however my husband didn't sleep and said it was a bumpy flight.

Stay tuned for our day on Miami

Sorry for the delay, but I was waiting for the pictures from our friends go pro, sadly I was very disappointed by his pictures, or more like lack of pictures...well except for the 1 million pictures of coral that he took. So you will just have to have the pictures from our iPhone :(

So we split up today, the boys went on the Wave Runner to Sting Ray City and Rum Point my one and only Carnival Shore tour as I was on my own with the 3 kids.

I'll start with the cons as there were not many:

1. There was a very long wait for our tour to actually leave once the tender got to shore...around an hour which is difficult with a toddler, no where to sit in the shade and the heat.

2. Our tour was late back due to a car and truck accident on our way back to the ship, we were about 30 minutes late which was ok as we were with Carnival, but despite being back late there was still a massive line for the tender, FTTF off....my no FTTF for back on the boat.

3. Stingray City was very busy when we were there but it was still amazing.

Ok Pro's:

1. The guys on our boat were amazing, they helped the kids have a great experience with the stingrays and at Rum Point took the older girls snorkeling and got Conch Shells and other sea creatures.

2. We had plenty of time at Rum Point and I could sit back with a cocktail while the kids played in the sand.

3. The Conch Fritters and Cocktails at Rum point !!! Yummy

4. Despite being on different tours we got to meet up with the boys at SRC and RP.

So we had a great day, the girls absolutely loved the stingrays, especially Chloe who was fascinated with them.

So we finally got back on the ship after our tender, and despite being so late back we were not the last, there were at least 2 more after ours. And even though my husband knew that the ship would not leave without us because we were on a Carnival shoretour I could tell he was a little relieved to see us back.

My husband was still not feeling the greatest so it was left to the kids and I to get in the cocktails, and Hannah finally got her promised Virgin daiquiri which my husband bought from his Cheers package as he wasn't drinking after being sick.

As we did post nights we went to the dining room when it opened, this was just easier with Chloe as if it got to let she would lose it. OK, dinner, now you often hear about people ordering multiple dishes, normally the lobster, bti tonight I liked an appetizer so much I ordered it 3 times...well actually twice, I made my husband order it again and I ate it!

I am on the Liberty in Nov. Looking forward to that portion of your review. Great photos of menus, hope you have the same for the Liberty.

The Liberty menu was almost identical with only port of call menu changing. Port of call items were some of our favorites.

Day 4 Roatan.

We got of the ship as soon as we could and instantly we were dripping in despite it still being early. We had arranged for a day at Little French Key ( http://www.littlefrenchkey.com/ ) and we had to leave the confines of the port to do so. We were a little bit nervous walking through the gate as we couldn't see anything but after walking down a big we could hear everyone before we saw them. As per the instructions given the guys waiting for us were easily identifiable and we were put in nice air conditioned vans and drove for about 20 minutes to Frenchy's.

No do not let looks deceive you, it is nothing flash before you get there but Little French Key is paradise and I cold happily spend the rest of my days on the beach.

We purchased the package that had lunch and 2 drinks, plus I got horseriding and a swim with the jaguar for the kids.

Started the meal with a "Blue Moon" from the port of call menu, it was hideous, I needed a sprit to be able to "water it down" to make it drinkable.

Cannelloni - I had this and it didn't disappoint, but nothing special.

Day 6 - Belize

Now I know a lot of people are a bit nervous with this destination, and we found it difficult to find a tour that suited our diverse family group. Now please don't judge...but I decided to take my kids and toddler cave tubing!!!

Now as you will see from the previous pictures my older kids are all very water savy and are very confident swimmers. I am a good swimmer, and my husband, brother and law and friend were all state level swimmers in their younger days so I didn't hesitate about taking the baby.

In any event, water levels were really low and I suspect we could have waded through the caves.

Given we had the kids and the baby we picked a tour that came highly recommend on CC and other sites. The benefits were we got a lovely lunch and we didn't have to carry our tubes. I would strongly recommend them for a great cave tubing trip: http://www.cavetubing.bz/

So basically we left the terminal as per the directions and we easily found the guides waiting for us in the big group of people waiting, we got directed a few hundred metres away where a van was waiting with bottles of water for us, luckily it was much cooler than the day before. We drove almost 1 1/2 to 2 hours to where we would go tubing, and this is where things got good. Unlike the other tours we saw, we did not have to carry our tubes the 30 minute walk, instead we got a good explanation on the flora and fauna of belize.

Lunch

And the widest thing I've ever seen in the middle of the road... A cemetery.

So we arrive safely back for our tender back on the ship and ended up having a rest before getting ready for dinner.
