lovestocruise19 Posted April 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2015 DH and I were looking over the new American Table menu and when I read the pie a la mode for the table he started drooling. :p He wants to know, for those of you that have had the new menu, is it a whole pie for the table (some nights it doesn't say for the table) and what kinds. Apple, blueberry, cherry, cream pies? Thanks! The new menu actually looks pretty good so hopefully we'll have it on our Jan. 2 cruise on the Valor. I don't care for pie, but DH ordered the apple pie one night. He said it was VERY good. It seems to me they had a different type of fruit pie every night. I know they had peach another night. Although I don't recall any of the cream pies.
nicoleds Posted April 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2015 on glory we had the pie a few times, apple, blueberry, strawberry rhubarb. They were all very good, it was a different pie each night.
love my grandkids Posted April 21, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2015 Blueberry is very good. Didnt care for rhubarb but generally not a rhubarb fan so not Carnivval's fault
SadieN Posted April 21, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2015 It's changed from whole pie for the table to plated slices.
lovestocruise19 Posted April 21, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted April 21, 2015 Ah, okay, that's what I thought that they did away with the for the table. DH is sad he can't get a whole pie. Lol. I told him to order multiple slices.
KatPem Posted April 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 21, 2015 I thought it was for the table and wasn't going to order due to that until my husband ordered it. Apple was the first night...it is my all-time favorite Carnival dessert!!!! Peach was the second or third night, my husband liked this even better than the apple. The last night was cherry. They had rhubarb, and blueberry and I think that was it but can't remember their order. Pretty sure they didn't have it on elegant nights.

Elaine5715 Posted April 21, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 21, 2015 Pie lovers, what for the Key Lime pie on the lunch buffet...so good. It never is on the dining room menu so get it while you can.
lovestocruise19 Posted April 21, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted April 21, 2015 I myself love key lime pie and have had it at the buffet. They have something called key lime mousse on the new menu. Wonder if that will be any good.
MrMileStoner Posted April 21, 2015 #11 Share Posted April 21, 2015 Even when it was listed for the whole table I never saw them bring out a whole pie. They brought out slices and it is good.
lovestocruise19 Posted April 21, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) Even when it was listed for the whole table I never saw them bring out a whole pie. They brought out slices and it is good. Oh, okay. Well, I'm sure DH will be happy nonetheless because it seems like they have pie quite often on the new menus. Hopefully the Valor will have the new menus in January and they won't wait until her dry dock in March. SadieN Posted April 21, 2015 #13 Share Posted April 21, 2015 They'd bring out a whole pie if there were enough to share it.
