music Posted May 1, 2015 #101 Share Posted May 1, 2015 Thanks for the menu, DH will like the selection, hope they have most of them. I'm guessing he will be there and I will be at the World Class bar!
LuckiePuris Posted May 2, 2015 #102 Share Posted May 2, 2015 (edited) I was told that the Martini Flights were not included because the majority of the time they are "shared" One bev pkg holder therefore could supply drinks to their friends all evening. oops Curt beat me to it:) I had the martini flight last month and was not at any combinable, included or discounted with the premium package. Cost was the same for martini flight as if I was a passenger with no package at all. That being said, very worth the extra money and experience :) Edited May 2, 2015 by LuckiePuris

Not that familiar with martini variations so the best benefit for me was trying 6 different martini's!!!! Impossible to drink 6 full sized ones lol

Rare ghstudio Posted May 3, 2015 #108 Share Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) Not that familiar with martini variations so the best benefit for me was trying 6 different martini's!!!! Impossible to drink 6 full sized ones lol There is no rule that you have to finish every drink. You could have ordered them one at a time and tried them....in fact, you probably could have ordered them one at a time and told the bartender what you were doing and they would have just made smaller ones....and they would be covered under your premium package. Really no reason at all to order and pay for the flight with the premium package. Edited May 3, 2015 by ghstudio

Yes you are right that I could have just ordered them all seperately one at a time and tried them all free in the premium package. However the martini flight is something we had read about and has seen online prior to cruising, something quite signature to celebrity and the martini bar. So for us, we loved that instead of a pre dinner cocktail or two that night, we'd instead have a nice sample of 6 mini ones. There were some flavours that we probably wouldn't have tried otherwise because even though the normal martinis were at no cost to us because of the premium package, I wouldn't want to waste any drinks if I didn't like them, wouldn't want to take advantage of the drink package by leaving things half drunk, and would probably have stuck to the ones I know I'd definitely like. For us it was definitely worth the $22 per person for the show, and to enjoy sampling six mini martinis before dinner, and then return for our favourites. We would happily spend this money here at martini bar, and not a cent at the casino or day spa, whereas others prefer to spend their money elsewhere. Each to their own, if we all liked the same thing there would definitely not be enough seats or glasses at the Martini Bar, or enough tables in Murano! That's the thing I love about cruising. Even though there is 2000+ passengers, it rarely feels crowded as we all like to dine differently, drink differently, and spend our time onboard differently. MR_T Posted May 7, 2015 #113 Share Posted May 7, 2015 Interesting... I've just spoke to someone from celebrity and they said the 3 x $18 drinks at the new world bar are not included in ANY package so even with the premium package you still have to pay the full $18 to try them... That is how it sounded when original pricing came out, although we hoped it was just the difference that would need to be paid. If I had some OBC I might give them a whirl but there is too much on offer within premium package limits here and at other bars. Anyway hopefully some first hand reports will come through soon!! chamima Posted May 7, 2015 #115 Share Posted May 7, 2015 Hi there, It is my understanding that guests with the Premium Beverage package will only pay the difference, not the full amount. Interesting... I've just spoke to someone from celebrity and they said the 3 x $18 drinks at the new world bar are not included in ANY package so even with the premium package you still have to pay the full $18 to try them... From your thread named New World Bar Info. Page #3, post #49. Seems there's a disconnect somewhere.

LuckiePuris Posted May 12, 2015 #121 Share Posted May 12, 2015 (edited) An onboard passenger posted on another thread that the three more premium drinks could be ordered with the premium package, and you just pay the few dollars difference between the drink cost and the premium package drink cap.
