Celebrity Reflection Specialty Restaurants

We will be on the Reflection on July 31, 2015 and have a lot of on board credits to use. Does anyone know if we could make our specialty restaurant reservations now (we would have to pay for them now) but then once we are on the ship can we request a refund on our credit card and then use the on board credits to cover the up charges for the restaurants? I'm afraid that if we wait to book our reservations when we first get on board the ship, that there might not be anything left - dates and times that we want. Any help would be helpful.

If you want to use your on board credit to pay you will need to book on board. We did this in March on Silhouette. We booked our specialty dining shortly after boarding and had no trouble getting what we needed for our party of six.
