Indeed! I still mourn a fine young man who lost his life in Viet Nam who was seated next to me in both semesters of our Freshman Chemistry class in college. We suffered through the rigors of that class and were friends throughout our college career. He had joined Air Force ROTC, so upon graduation, he went to serve. Rest in Peace, Skip!

Here is a link to a news item about the now annual service held in Halifax on the U.S. Memorial Day in memory of the U.S. Forces from the War of 1812 who are buried there.

The long forgotten burial place was brought to light several years ago when a proposed development was halted when it was realised the graves were there.

My Dad served in WWII and my Dear Husband served in Viet Nam. I went to the cemetery yesterday to be sure flags had been placed for them. I was content to see they had been honored.
