China Airlines

Hi, I am flying China Airlines in November to Taipei.

Can anyone tell me anything about the airline and the airport?

Thanks for your help

It might help if you could be a bit more specific as far as what you'd like to know, and depending on what you want to know, it may also be helpful to know if you're flying coach or business. For example, are trying to find out where the airport is in relation to the city center or some other location? Baggage policies? In-flight service? Seat configuration? Available services/concessions within the airport? etc. etc. :)

I am flying economy. I am also changing planes in Taiwan. with the same airline, flying onto Myanmar.

I have read on China Airlines that I will not have to pick up my luggage.

I was wondering how large this airport is as the time between flights is very close and I am unable to find pictures of the airport.

Any information given is appreciated.

Thanks

Plenty of pictures of the airport: https://www.google.com/search?q=taipei+airport&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=955&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=fBhlVd6JMovWsAWavILwDA&ved=0CFAQsAQ

It's the main international airport for the Republic of China, (aka: Taiwan) capital city, Taipei. Info says it went through a major renovation in 2000.

China Airlines is the national airline of the Republic of China. It's often confused with Air China, (the semi-official) national airline of the People's Republic of China. ;)

The airport is not very big and has moving walkways between most of the gates. When I flew out of there last year, I arrived really early for my flight and was offered onto the flight before mine which was departing in 45 minutes. I ran through security and immigration but turns out I needn't have as I got to the gate before it had even opened with enough time to buy a drink, browse the shops nearby and use the wifi. My gate was quite far from the security area as well.
