Luggage valet on celebrity?

Has anyone used the luggage valet on celebrity summit? If so how does it work? It seems like a great deal because our flight is not until 630pm and we didn't want to deal with keeping up with it. Thanks in advance for your replies!

Hi:)...looking at that poster's signature, it looks like they are not sailing

until October.......

 

I used the Valet service but that was back in 2010:eek:.....we had issues

the night before we disembarked....can't remember everything but I

do remember lots of folks were at Guest Relations late at night.....:rolleyes:

I think things have improved since then though.:) I am saling Summit

in November but I won't be using the Valet Service.

You are right. We don't sail until October. When I called celebrity they said it was available but everything I read says it's not. I will post when we come back if it is. I hope so. It will be easier as we don't fly until late that night

I'll be interested in what you experience as we are cruising in late October from San Juan and would like to do valet - but celebrity's site says:

 

Available in select departure ports only (Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Seattle, Washington; San Diego, California; and Seward, Alaska) with select airlines only

 

I've seen some other sites that say it is available and you mentioned that customer service also says yes, so hope you will report back on your experience!

You have to go through agricultural customs in SJU. Unlikely that Celebrity would assume that liability. That'd be awesome but I wouldn't hold my breath
