First time in a Haven Suite H9 - Is it worth it?

Recommended Posts

Hi. We are sailing on the Epic western Mediterranean this September. The perks that come with the Haven Spa suites were too good to pass up! I am cancelling our cruise for 9/13 and I switched to the 9/6. Since the Epic is such a huge ship, I figured the private space that the Haven allows will make it feel less crowded.

My original cruise was complimentary from Foxwoods Casino but I had upgraded to a balcony. Now I am going to rebook the comped cruise for the NCL Jade sailing on 9/19 to the Greek Islands! Since we won't have to buy airline tickets for the second cruise, as we will already be overseas.

Will we be happy with just a balcony on the second cruise, or will we be forever spoiled because of the H9?

It's a hard question to answer. Everyone has a different budget and puts a different value on things. If you can afford it wouldn't you prefer a higher end product/ experience? Some who can afford it prefer not to pay triple for something and use their money for excursions and other things. It's personal choice. I recently sailed in a suite and found the butler of no value and didn't use him at all. I enjoyed the spacious cabin and breakfast at Cagney's however I didn't feel the extra cost for just that space and breakfast was worth the extra so I'll do a mini next time.

This is my first trip to Europe. I am a recent widow (2 years) and a friend of mine said that "if you don't travel first class, eventually your kids will".

So I have a new guy I am dating and I am finding that I love to travel! I just booked the Jade for 9/19 and balconies and mini-suites are sold out! So I will be in an oceanview on deck 5. (155 sq ft)

Now that will be significantly smaller than the H9 on the Epic 9/6! But it is all good and I am still on vacation!

Thanks for the advice. :cool::cool:
