when/how often to log into RCCL account (cruise is a year away)

Our first RCCL cruise is booked for May 2016 (almost a year from now). When or how often should I log into my RCCL account to "check on things"? Cruise is not paid in full yet, it's too soon to book shore excursions, etc. So, is there any reason to log in periodically or wait until 4-5-6 months prior? After it was booked, I did log in with the confirmation number and saw that we were in the system. Thanks.

If you are on a ship that takes entertainment reservations, or need to make My Time dining reservations, I'd check at least once a week.

You can also log in to make payments instead of calling.

I log in at least once a week just to remind myself that I have two cruises booked! :D

Yes, check prices often. If your price drops before your final cruise payment date, you can call and get the reduced rate unless it is a special for new bookings only. There were some really good prices last week on some ships.

Thanks, all. We're on the Serenade, so as I understand it, no reservations for shows are needed. We probably won't make dinner reservations either; we'll just wing it.

 

I do know about checking for price drops, so I'll definitely keep an eye on that.

Correct, no entertainment reservations are needed or taken on Serenade.
