Allure in the Med- which side faces the dock ?

Can any recent cruisers tell me which side of the ship faces the dock in the different ports? My 86 year old Mum likes to watch the activity on the dockside when in port. Thanks for any help

I could be wrong but I taught it docked on the port side all the time with is on the non smoking side on deck I think that's the left hand side, I could be wrong, I m just off it last week

The starboard side (looking forward, it is the right-hand side) of the Oasis and Allure always face the dock, unless there needs to be lifeboats drills/testing done. I would assume this will be the same in Europe.

There is some degree of variability here.

 

Recent sailings have had Allure with Starboard at Barcelona, Marseille and Civitavecchia and that is always most likely in those ports.

 

Palma is also most likely Starboard though they could pull in either way at this port as they are now at the single ship pier.

 

Naples would also likely be Starboard, while they could easily be assigned to the other side of the same pier and it would be portside.

 

La Spezia I seem to recall as being portside though.

Port simply means "left"...it has nothing to do with facing the dock.
