MITSUGIRLYS DAWN TO BERMUDA NOVEL (or review as some may call it)

Glad you took the van back from Horseshoe Bay. We find it easier and not much more money for our family. We have been there many times and I really enjoy that beach more than the others in Bermuda. There are so many beautiful beaches in Bermuda so actually I am happy at just about any there, lol!

You pictures are beautiful! Thanks for posting them. Makes me look forward to going back.

The above was pretty much the end of the road for us. Beyond that was a bridge with no place to walk unless you were pretty much out in the street and I really didn't feel comfortable going any further. You couldn't really tell if there was anything else beyond that and I just really wanted to save my feet.

A guy came down the road (a local) and I ask him if anything was down that way. He replied "Only the best and cheapest bar on the island hehehehe". He was pretty hilarious. We actually talked for awhile with him and remember the story I told about how you always run across someone from your home town no matter where you go? Yep, he had family and friends in Ohio. Small world eh? Him and Kendra's bf talked for awhile and then he was on his way.

My inconspicuous way of taking a picture of him...acting like I was getting a picture of the ship.

I came across these bushes and screamed with excitement..."HUBS!!! TAKE MY PICTURE! THEY HAVE A BUSH MADE JUST FOR ME!"

P6070609%20copy-L.jpg

I think Kendra was a little jealous. She yelled "Mom, take a picture of me too. They made this just for me" (Her initials are KM) haha

Walking along the hubby starting laughing. I look over and he says "Because every door needs a door." LOL

THE bus stop....

P6070737%20copy-L.jpg

Now I see the green Shrek feet going past that. Anyone know where it leads to?

For those needing to purchase "coins", the building across the street (that you see in the picture with the light on) is the building you go in.

Right beside Snorkel Park and the putt putt place is a childrens (I use that term lightly because I have Kendra with me) playground.

Obviously it has water in this area, but there were no water fountains going when we were there darnit.

We had Kendra's bf convinced that if you step on the stars the water squirts. LOL

P6070619%20copy-L.jpg

Just like I predicted...off she went to play with Shayla.

Shayla decided to go down the twisty enclosed slide and all you could hear was skin screeching chalk board sounds as she slid down. Yikes. Of course Kendra found it funny.

Not sure if she wants to grow up to be a fireman or a stripper.

Either way, she failed miserably.

Hehe, thank you for joining in and commenting. I appreciate it. :)

Really? So is this normal? LOL I ended up with it on our first sea day on the way back (I think, but would have to go back and read my notes). It's driving me nuts. It gets really bad at night and in the morning I feel like I can't catch my breath. The more I cough, the harder it gets to catch my breath and I'm self-diagnosing myself with COPD at this point. LOL Like seriously I almost considered going to the ER last night it was so bad. It's been a week now. I'm hoping it stops soon. My patients are going to start to think I'm infecting them instead of the other way around.

First time we ever got sick and we got it the day after we arrived back home. Yes, it worsens at night and in the morning.

It was time to check out Snorkel Park.

Hmm, free admission tonight. Ok

The tunnel leading to snorkel park and the putt putt golf

Now I find this interesting since everyone on here has told me this is just a man made beach and not very nice. From just looking at the water, it really didn't look like there would be much "snorkeling" there. I had no idea where the actual "coral reef" was, but the water didn't seem to have any "darkened areas" where it would be unless you go out beyond the beach sandy area?

Selfies never turn out the way you want them...just saying.

I think we decided that we were just going to watch the sunset here and forget about putt putting. I was fine with that and we were happy just exploring the place.

Kendra thought so too and kissed the air

We talked her boyfriend in to going up there with her for that "perfect sunset picture"

P6070659%20copy-M.jpg

Then Kendra thought she would take this moment to be funny again...

Happily ever after now...

Notice the sun going down and then beside it there's a huge rain cloud raining out in the water?

Time to head back to the ship and it was around 8:30pm.

The sky behind us was a crazy display.

One more attempt of a selfie....yes I suck at getting anything of meaning in the background.

P6070754%20copy-M.jpg

As soon as we boarded, I headed straight for the photo shop to pick up my other battery. The guy at the counter got a little cocky with me and made the comment "Um, didn't you just have a battery here with us yesterday?" "Yes, why?" "Didn't you pick it up?" I stumbled for words and the first thing that I could find to blurt out was "I'm here to pick it up" While I was grinning and hoping that he wouldn't press the issue any more, and he didn't.

We went to the show "Jocka & Maria, No Net...Just Passionate Hearts", which was a mini Cirque Du Soleil show with acrobats and flying. I swear I have seen this show before on another ship, but just don't remember their names being Jocka & Maria.

After the show we headed to the casino for a bit since they changed the rules of gambling in Bermuda (the casino is now open at 9pm on the ship).

I ended up winning $54 so that was good enough for me and I was ready to head up and pick up Sakari.

It was 10pm and we somehow got turned around by going up to the 13th floor from outside and we ended up on the outside of the kids club peeking in the windows and watching her play. She absolutely loved this "dancing" game and talked about it every night. We now knew what she was talking about after this.

We headed to the buffet to see what interesting things we could find and Sakari wanted more pizza of course. Well, actually she wanted 2 pieces of pizza, 2 hot dog buns with butter on them (she has never liked hot dogs, but loves the bread), a couple chocolate chip cookies and a piece of cake. She must have really worked up an appetite dancing tonight. Geesh

I found these bite sized sandwiches and they were YUMMY! I love egg salad sandwiches.

P6070759%20copy-L.jpg

On the way back to the room, the pool deck had a live band playing and people were all around dancing and having a good time. We stayed for a bit and then decided to head back to the room to get our things ready for the following days activities.

Our towel animal for the night. (Notice he has inherited a set of eyes from his buddy from the night before).

That ends day 1 in Bermuda.

Sorry, but I will have to get more pictures together, pick out the ones I like, stamp them and save for web, then upload them to my host, put them in folders and then in order....all just to be able to continue with the review. Ahhh, the lengthy review life. :p

I hope everyone is enjoying and I'm off to read any comments I might have since the last round. :)

I just did the test and it got that I was from Boston. I am sure it was the answer "Tonic" for carbonated beverage that resulted in the findings;)

LOL, I think everyone on here is going to be doing this quiz now. haha :p

Thank you.............. I'm loving your review. It's just what I needed with our cruise just a few weeks away!

I have to weigh in on the pop/soda thing. It's called TONIC! The only New England residents who call it anything else are transplants from other parts of the country..............

Glad you are enjoying it. I had to laugh at the "transplants" comment. :D

We are very glad we took the van home too. I definitely thought it was a great deal and a lot cheaper too!

Thanks for the comments. :)

Eh, I really want this thing to run it's course. I have been drinking cough/cold medicine all day. My head is now pounding, my eyes are burning and my throat is starting to hurt. All this coming from someone who may feel a little under the weather every once in awhile, but I NEVER get sick. eh :o

Thank you for posting links to luv2cruise53's reviews. It will be bittersweet reading them again.

You are very welcome. Once I get my review done, I'm going to go back and read his Bermuda one again and compare notes. :)
