Camp Carnival

The bigger problem is which one(s) to tip? All, can be impractical or even impossible.

On the Breeze and Legend (sized) there were 15 or more of them, and all interact, to some degree, with all the children, some do more. Some do less. And you don't always see them "all" at the end of the cruise.

On the Paradise there were not many at all, so that was easy, on the Legend there were many, so I picked out those I know the kids mentioned or that I saw go above and beyond. On the Breeze, there was an army of them, and it was always to busy to pull aside or even catch them. Running around trying to give a fiver or a ten"ner" to 20 plus people was really not practical.

I wish they had a "tip jar" where they pooled tips. Maybe they do?

I've seen tip jars/boxes put out at the check in area the last night at camp. It's my understanding that the camp counsellors make a much larger salary then say a room steward or waiter. I asked once what they do with tips given (I always tip the last night)- they supposedly pool the tips and split them amongst the camp staff.

Good to know.

I did not see one but after the first day we never stopped by the desk on the Breeze, we just walked into the appropriate room and signed them in and out there. So there might have been a tip jar but I didn't see it.

On one cruise we took there were only three staff member in my child's group so tipping was easy, but on thers there have been at least a dozen so I called customer service on the ship and told them how much I want to tip and they divided among the Camp Carnival staff.
