mfabz Posted June 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2015 We are booked on a B2B on the Reflection for January 2016. Would like to book ultimate dining package for second week and we know it can only be booked on board. My questions are: (1) Is this package offered on S-class ships? (2) Where and when do you go to book the package? (3) If we pre-book before boarding a 5 specialty dinner package, will we be able to get a credit toward the ultimate package? (4) Will be be able to book our friends who will be joining us before they are actually onboard? Thanks for your input. Donna
MR_T Posted June 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) We are booked on a B2B on the Reflection for January 2016. Would like to book ultimate dining package for second week and we know it can only be booked on board. My questions are: (1) Is this package offered on S-class ships? - yes (2) Where and when do you go to book the package? - any speciality restaurant or guest relations (3) If we pre-book before boarding a 5 specialty dinner package, will we be able to get a credit toward the ultimate package? - yes they will credit the first package back to your on board account then charge the new one (4) Will be be able to book our friends who will be joining us before they are actually onboard? - not 100% on this one but I don't see why not... Maybe need to be done on the switch over day? Thanks for your input. Donna Answers added above! [emoji41] Edited June 21, 2015 by MR_T
BEAV Posted June 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) Since you'll already be on board the sailing prior to doing the Ultimate Dining package, I would go to the Maitre'd in Murano on the last day of the first cruise and let them know what you're looking to do for your second week. Are you friends joining you only for the second week? If so, communicate this to the Maitre'd as well. Edited June 21, 2015 by BEAV
gdpups Posted June 21, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2015 Love the Ultimate Dining Pkg, but be aware the number they sell is very limited so you need to book it ASAP. If you book for your friends you will need to put the cost on your own account, but just visit Guest Relations at a later time and they can transfer the cost of your friends package from your onboard account to theirs. Just make sure you have their booking number. We've done that before without a problem.

Bo1953 Posted June 23, 2015 #9 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Unlimited Specialty Restaurants for $29 per person per day. Available for purchase on embarkation day only and must be purchased for every day of the cruise. Cannot be booked in advance. I have another question about the UDP and other costs: Can someone advise what the current cost is for Lawn Club Grille Lunch and can the package be used for lunches? If so, which other venues would the UDP be good for at lunch time? I will be on the Silhouette 7 Feb 16. TIA - bo1953
kathynorth Posted June 23, 2015 #10 Share Posted June 23, 2015 We recently had the UDP on the Equinox. Sorry, no Lawn Club there. The package gave us access to all pay restaurants for dinner, pay restaurants when they were open for lunch (different one each sea day), and Bistro on 5 at any time. We made reservations for each night on the first day and were able to make adjustments during the cruise. We didn't realize the lunches were included until we received the reservation notice at our cabin the night before. The dining team automatically schedules you in for a 12 noon lunch reservation when the pay restaurants are open for lunch.
Project_gal Posted June 23, 2015 #11 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Is it available on cruises less than 7 days? It is not offered on 5-night cruises because they usually have no difficulty selling specialty restaurants on short cruises. I am not sure about 6- & 7-night cruises. Of course, once the change in dynamics due to the introduction of Luminae and the suite perk of complimentary specialty dining for Royal Suites above are understood, there may be changes to when dinign packages are offered. Cruiseline Virgin Posted June 23, 2015 #12 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Do the passengers have to buy the package for the whole cruise or just per day ?
TommyD3 Posted June 23, 2015 #13 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Do the passengers have to buy the package for the whole cruise or just per day ? It is for the entire cruise at $29 per person per day. Actually a VERY GOOD DEAL :) Especially on Silhouette and Reflection with Murano, Qsine, Tuscan and Lawn Club.

kathynorth Posted June 23, 2015 #15 Share Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) Do the passengers have to buy the package for the whole cruise or just per day ? We were required to purchase on the first day for each night of the cruise. Our 10 night cruise was $290/pp. That may seem pricey, but was less than the difference between Aqua (what we used to book) and CC (what we did book). thepoint Posted June 23, 2015 #16 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Does this mean you could eat in Luminae for breakfast? Thank you.
Project_gal Posted June 23, 2015 #17 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Does this mean you could eat in Luminae for breakfast? Thank you. No, Luminae is the restaurant for suite guests only. It is not, as is sometimes assumed/implied on Cruise Critic, as specialty restaurant.
Rare cruisestitch Posted June 23, 2015 #18 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Neither Luminae nor Blu is included in the Ultimate Dining Package.

Actually a VERY GOOD DEAL :) Especially on Silhouette and Reflection with Murano, Qsine, Tuscan and Lawn Club. Thanks for the clarification, we would not be interested in purchasing for the whole cruise as we also want to experience the MDR several nights, so the pre-boarding dining package will be the best choice, covering three (3) nights. Thanks again - bo1953
